LAD: Learning About Dialogue

We are learning about dialogue, so we can use it in our stories.
I found it tricky because first I didn't know what dialogue was.
Next time I would like to watch more videos about dialogue. 

Writing sample

“On your marks, get set, GO!” Mrs Castle shouted as she slap the clappers together.

I can do it keep on running. I thought to myself, I can do it.

“Few I have reached the fancy seven letter box,” I said.

I need to get passed Jayden, I can do it keep on running. I chanted to myself. But out the corner of my eye I saw something with dark green and grey scales. At first I thought it was a leaf. So I chanted to myself.

“Keep on running, keep on running, keep on running running running…”

I saw green again, out the corner of my eye but it had four legs and a long tail.

“Ahh crocodile!” I yelled.

It got closer and I saw it was smaller than a crocodile, it’s hard to explain it looked like a lizard. But it’s bigger than a lizard, I realised it was chasing me.

“Oh no, Mount Everest, aargh.” I said as I passed Mrs Mundy. While I was trying my best to run up the hill and round the court.

Finally I was on the field and the animal was so close to me. I jumped up a tree. “Call the Auckland Zoo!” I shouted. “ A komodo dragon!”

Maths, Thinking double double double

We are learning how to think double double double.

I found it easy because we just needed to 2x three times.

Next time I would like to do different strategy's.

Native Animal Rymes

We are learning about Native Animals in New Zealand.

I found it kind of hard because I don't know to much about them.

Next time I would like to do exotic animals.

We are learning how to tell apart Wood,Plastic,Metal and Clay.
I found it easy because we could zoom in on the pictures.
next time I would like to learn about different materials.

Northern drums.

We are learning about the Cook Island culture.

I found the drummers interesting because they used a range of instruments.

Next time I would like to learn how to play the drums.

Te Reo - Where is ... ?

We Are Learning to ask questions in Te Reo

I found it kind of hard because I didn't under stand some of the words

What do we know about plants?

We are learning to fill out forms to show what we have learnt.

I found it easy because we were already learnt all of it.
Next time I would to learn how plants can die from being to close to another plant.
